Staff are on site between 9am and 5pm weekdays, and an emergency on call service is available to all residents outside of office hours.
Our service is particularly targeted at young mothers/mothers to be, between the ages of 16-19.
Wallis House consists of ten bedsits. On the ground floor are four fully-furnished self-contained bedsits with their own bathroom and kitchen. On the first floor there are six bedsits, fully-furnished with shared kitchen, lounge, bathroom and laundry facilities.
Each resident has a ‘named worker’ in the support staff team from whom they receive weekly support sessions. Sessions can be tailored to the individual through a support agreement, covering topics such as accessing benefits, budgeting, child development, parenting skills, accessing education, housing and independent living skills. There are also weekly house meetings involving all residents.
Beracah provides semi-independent living accommodation for young homeless mothers/mothers-to-be, over 18 with lower support needs. Upstairs there are six bedsits, with shared lounge, kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities. On the ground floor are five fully-furnished self-contained bedsits with their own bathroom and kitchen.
Support staff are available and residents can ask for support as and when they require it.
